Healthy Resilient Minds Matter
Strategies for Educators to Support Students’ Emotional Well-being
Educators need support and strategies to help students recognize and release emotions of sadness, anger, worry, excitement, and anxiousness in healthy ways. This will improve choices, relationships, behaviour, resilience, and well-being.
In this interactive 60-minute workshop, I support educators by:
- Creating an open and empathetic conversation about their concerns for their students.
- Providing classroom strategies to boost well-being, confidence. and resilience.
- Sharing resources they can use to engage their students in talking about challenges and emotions.
Educators Have a Tough Job
Educators are expected to give 100% no matter what is happening in their life or the world.
Their Emotions Matter
They may be operating with a roller coaster of emotions: disappointment, frustration, anger, happiness, sadness and anxiety. Some are feeling overwhelmed, not knowing what the school year will bring, Concern for the future, the welfare and safety for themselves, their students and their own family, affects their emotional health.
Not identifying, validating and releasing emotions leads to stress, burnout and emotional fatigue.
